Lessons for Life

Youth seminars will introduce skills that improve both the horse and the human. The lessons learned with the horse will facilitate self examination, self awareness, self esteem and the value of clear relationships. The horse aids in teaching the value of cooperation, trust, patience and adaptability. The youth learn the value of opening their own creativity for problem solving. For youth groups who are seeking quality education to enhance partnership with their horse and within themselves, clinics are often funded through the generosity of the Angwin Family Foundation.

"My desire is to teach these emotionally disturbed students a broad range of 'life skills' while learning to work with animals. By incorporating a variety of innovative techniques, such as the Tellington Ttouch Method, breathwork, integrative body awareness, positive visualization and other creative modalities as my basis for my program, I offer the students an environment of positive, supportive experiences of self awareness that enhances self confidence, calm composure and higher self esteem."
